Vang, Ringsaker, Furnes and "Fripas"

On some info it says that GGGpa Mathias Solberg was from Vang Parish and others say Ringsaker Parish. The two sons worked in Furnes as weavers. Where are these locations compared to the Solberg farm? My ancestor had "Fripas" noted with his emigration info. Why would he have a "free ticket?" Thanks for your help! [:)]
