Westerlund

I have an ancestor that emigrated to Austraila called Mathias Westerlund. He died about 1865 in his early twenties, leaving a son, and partner Lavinia Doram. It is thought he died at sea whilst whaling. This may be a clue to his occupation in Norway. I would be interested to hear from anybody who might have someone who emigrated before that time.[:)]
