What ship did he come on ?

I am writing to inquire about finding the ship that my Grandfather, Ole Helgeson, came to America on. He was from Valdres, Norway, and came to America in 1881. Could you give me any ideas where I could look or do you have a database for that information? Thanks. Betty Jean Ellingson Betty Jean Ellingson
