I hve spent considerable time searching for this Kari (?) Ballangrud and would appreciate any help available in identifying her.
1. Supposedly she is the first wife of Pål (Povel) Henriksen.
Pål's second wife is Marte Olsdtr. Løcheneje g. 1757.
2. Supposedly she is the mother of Elen Povelsen Ballangrud born abt 1742 (74 aar in 1816 when he died and 59 aar in the 1801 census) and Anders Povelsen Ballangrud born abt 1745/46 (75 aar in 1830 when he died and 55 in the 1801 census.
3. Therefore I assume that Pål and Kari were married prior to 1742 and that she died prior to 1757.
4. I believe that Pål's father is Henrik Kristensen (1681) is from Børmarken in Gran and his grandfather is Kristen Henriksen. (1651) also from Børmarken.
5. I cannot find the marriage date for Kari or the birth dates for
Elen or Anders in Jevnaker or Gran parish records.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Henrich Povelsen, son of Povel Henriksen and Marte Olsdatter, Ballangrud was bapticed Dec 18 1757, 1st record on right page.
The parents were married Nov 17 1757, 2nd marriage left page. (no indication that Povel was a widower in this record.)
I believe Kari Ballangrud was Kari Larsdatter who was burried June 15 1850, 26 years old, 7th record on left page.

My thanks to Peder and eibache for their responses. However, I do have a lot of information on the families. I do not have though information on "who Karen/Kari Ballangrud is" or information relative to the "births of Ellen and Anders Poulsen as to dates and place".
The information that I have
1. places Ellen's birth abt 1742 and Anders' birth about 1743/45.
2. places Kari's birth before 1724 as I assume she would be at least 18 years old at the time of Ellen's birth and her death was before 1757 as that is when Pål married Marte Olsdtr. Yes, eibache is right, there is a Kari Larsdtr. Ballangrud who died on 15 Jun 1750 at the age of 26 years old. I assume that the age of 26 is fairly accurate, but is she the Kari I search for?
However, I cannot find the marriage record for Kari or the birth records for Ellen and Anders. Frustrating sometimes.

Thanks for your response.
I have info on the Lars Larsen/Maren Andersdtr family and their seven (7) children including Karen-christened 1 feb 1722 on Ballangrud. I am searching for documents that provide birth information for Anders Poulsen. Who his mother was and when he was christened. I can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that Pål Henriksen was his father, but I have information from several family-trees that Pål and Karen Ballangrud were married and had two children- Ellen and Anders. The 1801 census show both Ellen and Anders living on Ballangrud. Ellen age 59 (f. 1742/43) and Anders age 55 (age 1746/47). Ellen died Nov 1816 aar 74 (f. 1742) and Anders died Feb 1830 aar
85 (f. 1745).
I assume Karen died and Pål married Marte Olsdtr Løckeneje in Nov 1757. They had 8 children and then Pål died Jun 1789.
Marte married Johannes Halvorsen Haldum in Jan 1792 and Anders Polsen was one of the sponsors. I'm assuming this was Anders her stepson.
In that I cannot find either Pål and Karen's marriage or Ellen/Anders christening in the Jevnaker or Gran parish records, maybe they were in another parish at that time. As I indicated in an earlier post, I believe that Pål's father was from Børmarken in Gran. In that there is not a bygebok for Jevnaker and that the time frame is in the early to mid-1700's, it is difficult to find answers. I was hoping that someone familiar with Ballangrud and it's history might have them.

First, I would like to thank all those that responded to my search questions. However, I think all are missing the intent of my search. I am looking looking for verification of the marriage of Pål Henriksen and Karen Ballangrud. This means marriage license or parish record. Then, I am looking for a birth certificate or parish record of the birth of Ellen and Anders. Other people's Family Trees are not valid unless they have level one verification (parish documentation) included as part of the Tree.
I have documented verification of Pål Henriksen Ballangrud and his marriage to Marte Olsdatter Løcheneje in Nov 1757and all their 8 children that I have found.
Son Henrik was born was baptized 18 Dec (one month after the marriage). Therefore, Ellen Poulsen could not have been born to Pål and Karen in 1757 as most Trees state. Erich Larson Ballangrud (son of Lars Larsen Ballangrud and brother of Karen Larsen Ballangrud) was a witness to the birth.
I also have the 1801 census which gives Ellens age as 59.
Parish records for his death in 1816 give his age as 74.
I have documented verification of Marte Olsdatter's marrige to Johannes Halvorsen Haldum in Jan 1792. Anders Polsen was a sponsor for Marte Olsdatter. I assume he was her stepson.
I have documented verification of Ellen's two marriages - first to Berthe Erichdatter Ballangrud in Apr 1773 and their 5 children and Anne Hansdatter Vestern in dec 1789 and their two children.
I have documented verification of Anders marriage to Marthe Halvorsdatter Sløvika and the birth of their 5 children.
I have documented everything except documentation for....
1. Pål Henriksen's marriage to Karen Ballangrud.
2. Karen Ballangrud's father's first name.
3. Ellen Poulsen's baptism record.
4. Anders Poulsen's baptism record.
5. Karen Ballangrud's baptism record.
6. Karen Ballangrud's death date. If she is Karen Larsdatter
Ballangrud it is 15 Jun 1750. Some Trees have it as 1757
do to fact Pål got married for the 2nd time that year.

I have a hypothetical question which relates to one of my previous questions.
Kåarto states that a Karen Larsdatter was bap. "4th søndag efter Ny Aars dag' or on Jan. 24, 1722 at Lunder. Lars Ballangruds child Karen. Is this particular child, Karen Larsdatter Ballangrud , then called Karen Ballangrud? How many Karen Ballangruds can there be? What if someone called 'Peder Ballangrud' has a girl child and names her Karen,
is she then also allowed to be called Karen Ballangrud?
What would be allowed under the legal systems at that time?

Yes.
Karen Larsdatter Ballangrud could well be Karen Ballangrud.
In the 1700s varying from municipality to municipality farmnames used as lastnames was very common for both husband and wife.
Everyone in Lunder/Lunner in the 1700s kvew who Karen Ballangrud was.
Karens father Lars Ballangrud had also dropped the middle name after his father.
The priest wrote what he heard, there were no rules for naming.
The priest or others could never imagine that someone almost 300 years later would ask questions about it 
In 1800 in Sauherad Telemark in the same family under the same roof there lived because of traditional naming practice 4 Hans Hansen (3 in the 1801 census)
