John Christophersen was born 21 Sep 1872. Father thought to be Christopher Erikson and Mother was Anna. He came to America in 1887 at age 16 years. He wrote he came alone. No other family members came with him. He took the last name of Lund in the US. Really want to know where he came from; which part of Norway.

He was born AFTER the 1865 Norwegian census and left BEFORE the 1900 Norwegian census. The 1875 Norwegian census has never been completely extracted to database form and is therefore incomplete.

Has the family completely exhausted any and ALL references or documents regarding John in the US? Church records where he was a member? his obituary? etc?

That record on Family Search is the correct John Lund. Have records and photos of this family in the U.S. Lived and worked with the Michael Ristvedt family and married their daughter, Annette. Jwiborg, I will look up records on this family. Might be able to link him to leaving the parish in the correct year or maybe names will be repeated. Kaarto, where or what parish or part of Norway is your birth/Bap record from? Also looks like it could be a possibility. Thanks so much.

Johan Laurits Kristoffersen and the rest of the family have moved to neighboring parish Ullensaker by 1875, living at Gaardermoen farm, where Oslo airport is located today.

Johan Kristoffersen (16) from Ullensaker, emigrating to New York on 29 Mar 1889.

There are Lund farms in Ullensaker, where he could have lived upon emigration.

It was said that he did have an Aunt near Lake Park, Minnesota but no one knew who that would have been. I am going to find as many records on this family as I can and see who else may have come to the US. Your immigration record is powerful persuasion that this is the guy. Thanks

John C Lund is listed in his American marriage record as born in Nannestad Prgd. I'd say that's a match! Sam Johnson and Edwin Johnson are the witnesses to the marriage at Lake Park, Minnesota

Austad in Nannestad is about 2 miles south-west of Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

I cannot find his marriage record. I have tried Family Search and it won't come up even under her name. Where did you see it? Appreciate all the additional information.
