Ancestry.com has the Passenger Lists for Philadelphia. Ancestry.com is a subscription site. If you wish you can post the name or names you are looking for and I will attempt to find them.

The British Queen landed in Philadelphia several times during 1882 so there is a list of 3742 passengers for the full year.

This is again about Hans Olson, born 13.12.1865, who I asked about in 2014.
I found one Hans Olson at:
Pennsylvania, Philadelphia passenger lists 1800-1882. I'm not sure if this Hans Olson is the right person I'm looking for. My Hans Olson was from Vinger (Kongsvinger) in Norway, and I belive he emigrated with the ship British Queen from London to Philadelphia.
He emigrated from Oslo (Christiania) 08. march 1882 to England with the ship Rollo, and the destination was Philadelphia.
Is it very difficult to find out where he moved after he camed to Philadelphia? Hans Olson was a very usually name.
I have looked at the census what you an another wrote before in 2014, but it's difficult to know who can be him....

Previous topic from 2014, Did not seem to resolve all the issues then. Maybe have to have a fresh start and forget about Samuel Haugen as I think Jackie found he is a different fellow.

Since it seems that his brother Carl ended up in Worth County Iowa perhaps he went there after his arrival. In the 1895 Census for Iowa there are two candidates Hans Olson and Henry Olson of the right age. Henry can be eliminated since his marriage record in Iowa gives an incorrect father. Here is the record on Hans Olson.

Hans Olson
in the Iowa, State Census, 1895
Name: Hans Olson
Age: 29
Race: White
Birthplace: Norway
Residence: Danville, Worth

Thank you for to help me!

I know many of Carl Olson's relatives here in Norway and some of them have contact with Carl's descendants, but they have not heard about Hans..........

So I will try again to find him. It can be Hans Olson, who you wrote about in Iowa. maybe he died early, or he moved to another place in USA.

Nobody have not found out about Samuel Otto Haugen, he looks like so much the family of Carl/Hans Olson, so I'm not sure about him, maybe he changed his name from Hans Olsen. Hans Olson was from a farm called (Rund)haugen her in Kongsvinger (Vinger) community. It's not born any Samuel Otto in Norway at his date, who has emigrated. Can not find any in the census 1865 og 1875 i Norway. It's many questions about Hans and Samuel Otto.....

I think that Samuel Otto Haugen is in Norway named Sgvard Olsen illegitimate son of Ole Ottersen and Andrea Sørensdatter. This person was found by Jackie in your 2014 Post.

Sigvard Olsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Sigvard Olsen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 15 sep 1864
Baptism Date: 30 okt 1864 (30 Oct 1864)
Baptism Place: Sor Odal,Hedmark,Norway
Father: Ole Ottersen
Mother: Andrea Sorensdr
FHL Film Number: 307237I

In Digitalarkivet

#191

In the 1865 Norwegian Census Ole Ottersen was living with his family on Haugen and still unmarried.

1865

The mother of Samuel (Sigvard) was Andrea Sørensdatter and in the 1865 Census she was living with her family

1865

So that is why I think you can forget about Samuel Haugen as a person of interest.

Så det er derfor jeg tror du kan glemme Samuel Haugen som interessert person.

The Hans Olson found above is still single and living in Danville, Worth, Iowa in the 1900 US Census. It is difficult to connect him with Carl Olson who in 1900 US Census is living in Kensett, Worth, Iowa in 1900.

A possible clue for Hans Olson is this marriage record from Illinois.

Hans Olson
in the Cook County, Illinois, Marriages Index, 1871-1920
Name: Hans Olson
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Birth Year: abt 1865
Marriage Type: Marriage
Marriage Date: 19 Oct 1901
Marriage Place: Chicago, Cook, Illinois
Spouse Name: Mary Gunderson
Spouse Age: 18
Spouse Gender: Female
FHL Film Number: 1030329

Is he the same Hans Olson that lived in Iowa in 1900?
