Hello,

According to one of my family members, Gerda Emilie Engebretsdatter died very young, but can't tell me why. It sounds kinda mysterious and like a family secret.

This is what I know:

Gerda Emilie Engebretsdatter
Birth: 26 May 1894 Norderhov, Buskerud, Norway
Baptism: 12 Aug 1894 Norderhov, Buskerud, Norway
Father: Engebret Evensen Hagastuen Marigaardseie
Mother: Gunda Haraldsdatter Jordestuen

1894 Birth and Baptism: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/255/pd00000032154910

1900 Census: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01037110004167

Engebret dies in 1909 and so Gerda is gone in the 1910 Census

1910 Census: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01036462005957

I believe to have found her here:

1910 Census: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01036462003579

Supposedly she gave birth to Gunnar Roa, of whom I cannot find a birth entry.

According to his Gravestone b. 23 OCT 1918 d. 27 JUL 2001.

I believe to have found him here, as Gunnar Syversen Roa:

1920 Census: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01073776005982

Gerda Emilie's Brother Harald Engebretsen's Death Notice mentions a Sigurd Syversen, which is also mentioned in the 1920 census. He is mentioned on Harald's death notice on 25 OCT 1918, 2 days after Gunnar's birth but Gerda is not. So A) what a random coincidence that Harald died two days after Gunnar's birth? B) That Gerda appears to have died and C) that I cannot find Gunnar's birth or baptism entry.

1918 Harald Engebretsen Death notice:

Also the son is listed in Gerda's survivors as unbaptized and with no name. Birthdate is a bit of a muddle, though.
