My Grandfather Sverre Mathisen was born on a farm Called Hoirlund ,farm no 125,property no 19. census district of Herstad Parish Notero Municipality of nottero or notteroy . I would like to find out where this farm was as im going over in august to have a look around Tonsberg and it would be nice to know where he was born.

Hi Paul, the property 125/19 doesn't seek to exist anymore, but I believe it should have been located in this area.
Likely near the road Nedre Gurødvei (posibly within the red circle):



I recommend you to contact Nøtterøy Historielag:

A woman named Åsta Holth lived there in the 1950's, that might be an additional clue.
You could also contact some of the people that live in the area today, e.g. on the Nedre Gurødvei road.
