Here is the link to the original record for the 1801 Census,. Very hard to read the Gothic Handwriting, at least for me.

Back to your question on two children with the same name. I see that the Family Tree refers to Kittil born in 1780 as Kittil dy or Kittil den yngre ie the younger.

Mann 1767 -

Unfortunately his tree does not followi the descendants past his children.

Yes that is the link and the sourcing looks to be very well done. With Johanne being born in 1731, she would have been 70 in 1801 not 75 as recorded. With Even being born in 1767, he would be 30 in 1801 instead of 33 as recorded. I'm assuming that census takers were more interested in recording the household numbers count and it was basically the occupants telling as to their ages recorded.

Regarding Even, the central figure in the thread, you have all been extremely helpful in providing information that we were lacking. After three of his children (Aslak, Halvor and Svennung) immigrated to America, we have been able to follow the lines from that point forward. It was the information before the immigration that we had always wondered about. We very much appreciate all of the information the people here have provided.

Thank you for the clarification regarding the two Kittil Andersen's. I guess we did have an older and a younger. That was the first time I had seen a record where two children with the same name within a family survived to adulthood.
