Hi. I'm trying to locate the ship that my Great-Grandmother, Emilie Karoline Iversen, sailed on from Norway. On her census records (1910 & 1920), it says she came to the U.S. in 1886 or 1888. Where can I find ships and passenger lists for those years? Angels are with you. Caro Goodfellow

Hei Caro,
You can find passengers lists at the police emigration records on Digitalarkivet http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe, click on “other sources”
I have looked for Emilie there but can’t find her. Do you know when or where she was born, or if she was married at the time she left Norway?

1886 is far from complete at the present digitalarkivet records. They will, however, be complete early next year. Maybe she will turn up then...

Thank you, Trond & Per Helge. I know Emilie was born in Sarpsborg, Olfed?, Norway. Thanks for the advice about Digitalarkivet.
