LOOKING FOR THIS MAN, WHO MOST LIKELY CAME TO USA 1882-1883. HE WAS MY GR-GR-GRANDFATHER. CAN'T FIND THAT NAME ANYWHERE. HIS MOTHERS NAME WAS GURI KNUTSDATTER. HIS FATHER WAS KNUT HALDERSON IDSSTAD(BJELBOLE?) KNUT BJELBOLE WAS BORN IN ROGNE, VALDRES, NORWAY ABT: 1842-1845. ANYONE WITH INFO RE: BJELBOLE, PLEASE POST ANSWER HERE.

I think this guy at the Digitalarkivet emigration lists might be your man. (Rogne is a place in Øystre Slidre, Valdres): http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=arkivverket/emiosl1&variabel=0&postnr=1546&fulle=true&spraak=F

And here is the family in the 1865 census at the farm Bjellebøl: As you can see Knut's brother also emigrated in 1882:

As I look into it I see that the Gulbrand Knutsen at Bjellebøl not neccecarily is the same as GK in the emigration list. The birth year of the two doesn't match. But it could be an error in the digital records.
