You can read a little about the Leyland Line and their ships on TheShipsList website http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines/leyland.html
Also, there is a book about Leyland Line mentioned here on Mariners Website http://www.mariners-l.freeserve.co.uk/GenBosunBooks2.html
