Unfortunately a fresh searchi under the names, Samuelson, Samuelsen, Samuelsdatter and Langum, does not turn up any other candidates than those already listed. Is there any other name that she might have used on the trip. What name did she use on the Argo and was she travelling with Matinius at that time.

One other thing we can learn looking more closely at the passenger manifest of the Nestorian, Marcus Samuelson is listed just above Gurina Pedersdatter also age 20. And looking more closely at the 1920 US Census we see that this Marcus Samuelson has a wife named Gurine.
Name: Marcus Samuelson
[Marena Samuelson]
[Marcus Vik]
Home in 1920: Lien, Grant, Minnesota
Age: 70 years
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1850
Birthplace: Norway
Relation to Head of House: Head
Spouse's Name: Gurina

Thus the Marcus Samuelson on the Nestorian is most likely the same person as the one living in Lien, Grant County, Minnesota. Now that still does not prove that this Marcus is the same person as Martinius Samuelson.

Mari Nilsdatter was Martinius' grandmother.

- his paternal grandmother, i.e. Samuel Johannesens mother, see #114
who was married to Johannes Samuelsen in 1821, see #29.
Mari Nielsdatter, her parents and siblings in 1801
- of course you have all this I guess.
