I have recentlt found out that my great grandparents traveled on the USS Washington from Liverpool to New York in 1868. Any ideas as to where I could find specifics and maybe a picture of that ship? Bill Bakken

Are you sure about that name? USS is usually a prefix for US NAVY ships (United States Ship). Could this actually have been the Inman Line SS "City of Washington"? (SS= Steam Ship)
