MR. BURGE NEILSEN There passed away at Howard yesterday an old and highly respected identity of Maryborough, Mr. Burge Neilsen. He was born at Sandisfjiord, Norway. He came to Australia in the sailing ship St James in 1874, and landed at Maryborough, where he followed the occupation of carpenter and boat builder

In one of the better Family Trees on Ancestry you will find an ancestor with the name Kristoffersen. This is what the OP refers to .
