I can't find anything in english about the Waerenskjold's. Could someone tell me about their origins and where I might find something about them in english. Thank you very much for the help.

Hi Chris Here is one article. I don't know if it is the Waerenskjold you are looking for
http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/WW/fwa5.html
If you are looking for census or emigration information, go to the digitalarkivet link below. In the 1865 and 1900 census I found several WÆRENSKJOLD's when searching on the last name.
Also a search at http://www.google.com will bring up lots more pages.
If you have more specific information you can post ie names, dates of birth, dates of emigration, someone can probably help you with more information

Check out this link. It contains several family books and articles about the Werenskiold families. You might have to order them from a norwegian library or get someone to do a lookup though. hey should all be available rom the Deichmanske library in Oslo.

When I said check out this link, i meant this link:
http://home.online.no/~cfscheel/SL-WE.HTM

The reference PST means an article in the publication Personalhistorisk Tidsskrift.
