I have been unable to find on a map the rural neighborhood called Kidenæs, on the island Osterøy, Hordaland. Or at least, that name was used in the late 1800s.
If someone is familiar with this area...not far north from Bergen...I would appreciate you identifying some town or modern place name near Kidenæs.

Okay thanks, this makes sense considering that the 1875 census identifies Kidenæs as being in Seim local parish, census district 026 Kidenæs. Another family researcher had placed the farm on Osterøy. My computer keeps trying to turn the word into "Kidneys".
