AntonH, Can I please ask how you were able to locate that information? I made an attempt at using the web site and have not been able to figure out how to locate such information that you have found.
What you found is awesome!! Thank you, if I could figure what steps you just did to locate all of this it would be incredibly helpful. |

I looked at your list of people. Assume that Eidsvold was Eidsvoll parish in Akershus Fylke and went to Digitalarkivet, Advanced Person Search.
  https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/search/persons/advanced
  Clicked on Akershus then Eidsvoll
Typed in Lars Andersen in the First Name / Last Name
Typed in 1820 and 1822 in the Birth Year
  And hit Search
Got six hits and recognized this one as probably your man

For the 1801 Census the farm name Lønnelid or any variation of that name does not seem to have been used.
There are two Anders Larsen's listed born about 1780. Both unmarried.
This one has a mother as a widow Kirstie Andersdatter so it is likely the family.

That is such a devastating loss to that part of genealogy. And since both sides of Lars Anderssen Lonlien's ancestors were all from Eidsvold, searching back to the 1600 and 1500's may be quite impossible. |

Yes, they were the farmers for Korslund. As far I can tell from the ancestor chart , it was taken over in 1783. Anders Tarlasen was born 1695 Venger Sonder Farm.

Based on the farm name Korslund Øvre and the birth year of 1792 I would suspect that this is her in the 1801 Census. Gives you the names of the parents and the siblings as well.

I wonder if you have used the Bygdebøker from Eidsvoll.
Eidsvoll Bygdebok (farm book) vol. 2, pt. 1, 2, 3 published in 1950, 1959, 1961. Listed by main farm names in upper case letters followed by sub-farms in lower case letters.
  Vol. 2 pt. 1.

I see that the University of North Dakota has them in their collection. They will do lookups for you, scan the pages and provide them to you by email for a very small fee.

I see that the University of North Dakota has them in their collection. They will do lookups for you, scan the pages and provide them to you by email for a very small fee.

I'm not sure what I would ask the University of North Dakota? This is still new to me.
  Thanks.

Here in the USA I've been able to borrow a number of Norwegian bygdeboks by Inter Library Loan. Your local public library is probably a member of that program and if they are they can order the book(s) you are interested in from other lilbaries here in the US who are willing to loan them. I've usually had to pay for the minor costs of shipping the books back and forth but I was much too thrilled to mind that.
The books will be written in Norwegian so prepare yourself with a good translating dictionary or other method to get translations. Names and dates (in European format DD/MM/YYYY of course) are easy to follow even without translating. There are also online lists of the most common Norwegian words we encounter in bygdeboks, parish records and censuses. We can share links to those with you.
Here's a good article written some years ago about borrowing by Inter Library Loan. Also if you look for particular books in the LDS library CATALOG online they offer a link to the WorldCat listings of what libraries actually hold the book(s) you are seeking and which are willing to loan them.

Send an email to : michael.swanson@library.und.edu
He is the research librarian at The University of North Dakota and can be very helpful.
Tell him you are interested in these people from Eidsvoll. You can give him that same list you posted in your first post on this topic it is quite detailed. You might also send him links to the Census data provided. Tell him you want scans of the pages from any of the farms that you have listed and that contain information on the names from your list.
Let him guide you and he will be very helpful. |
