Apparently arrived in 1948? Lists him as being born in Sandviken, Norway, which might pin down his birth place. Last name is listed as Torkelsen in several places. Also was a seaman and is found as a crewman on several ships.

Here he is in a register of Norwegian sailors during WWII:

https://www.krigsseilerregisteret.no/sjofolk/601397

Birth place Baldersheiim is close to Strandvik, given in the U.S., WWII Alien Registration. Father's name Thorleif is wrong, at least according to Soga om Fusa, Hålandsdal og Standvik, which lists Torkel Olai Amandus Samuelson Solvang as his father.

From Ancestry.com Family Tree

Burial
1 Sep 1961 • Mount of Olives, lot 7194; The Evergreens Cemetery Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA
"The deed in the cemetery's office says the plot was purchased by Paula Solvang. From family lore we know this was Arthur's wife, her maiden name is Smith, and that she later remarried and moved to Portugal, where we assume she is buried. –Eli Kaufman
