Hey i am a 6th gen kiwi bolstad, it goes Hans bolstad, Oskar Emanuel bolstad, Oskar Charlie bolstad, Trevor bolstad, Hamish bolstad then me Seth bolstad. I was just wondering what info you have, as I would love to know more about my family

There are many Family Trees for this family on Ancestry.com. They seem to dead end at Trevor Douglas Bolstad. But there is a large amount of information on the family beginning with.

Most of the information I have posted above comes from Ancestry.com. Ancestry.com is a subscription service and you may not be a member. In this case much of the same information can be found on Family Tree a free service. However you do have to sign up but the membership is free. Here is some information from thiat site.

The family tree on Family Search runs out at Oscar Charles Bolstad.

The Family Tree on Family Search takes the family back in Norway to Simon Johansen born 1788 in Norway. About the same place as the Trees on Ancestry.com that I referenced above.

The parents of Simon Johansen are not quite as certain. Most Family Trees on Ancestry.com and Family Search have them from the country of Sweden but the records are sparse and not definitive enough for me to believe.

This is likely his marriage but the parents are not named.

Geni profile for Hans Hansen Bølstad. Note the ø rather than o. There are many Bolstad farms in Norway, but also the Bølstad farm in Ås.
