The bark Erna was built in 1867 by C. Tofte (A. Dekke) in Drammen.
Newspaper announcement from 1867 Newspaper announcement from "Hamar Stiftstidende" Apr. 30, 1867: Passenger accommodation to America. The new, first classed ship, Erna, capt. Baarsrud, will depart approximately May 25 from Christiania to Quebec with passengers. The ship is built for passenger freight, 220 Commercial lasts, copper hooded and excellent in all ways. There has all ready signed on a sufficient number of passengers to let the ship sail, and the places still free can be signed for at O. N. Tandberg, Øvre Vognmandsgade Nr. 7, Christiania
