In 1870 the bark Lesseps departed from Bergen on May 4th, and arrived at Quebec on June 10th. She was sailing in ballast, and was carrying 300 steerage passengers and 4 cabin passengers. There were two deaths on the voyage, a man aged 74 died of pneumonia, and a child from the effects of a fall. The Lesseps was mastered by Capt. N. Hansen, and had a crew of 18.
