I am looking for the farm owned by my great grandfather and passed down to his children. My gandmother Martha Helen Larsdaughter Olsen moved to America with her children in 1906, after the death of her husband Hans Emil Olsen (born in Tromso, in 1864). I have what I think is a land transfer document and it lists 53 nyt 35 Lobe No. 93,94,95. It appears that Peter Olsen and Andreas Isaksen retained possession of the property. The family chose to take the name Solo from the name of the farm which appears to have been Soloen. I would also like to know if I have any family left in the area of Soloyvatnet or Bodo.

These are the people Hopkins pointed out, Marta Helmine L (L=Larsdatter), we find both Marta Larsdatter Soløen b. 1860 and Hans Olsen born 1846 when their oldest son Olaf Johan b. 17.1.1884 is christened in Bodø church.
It sems he didn´t emmigrte, at least not in 1906, perhaps he took over Soløy?

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=2533&idx_id=2533&uid=ny&idx_side=-37.

Soløy is a farm in the northern part of lake Soløyvatnet, about 5-10 miles North-East of Bodø town.

These family are coming from differant places in Norway, from Voss, Fræna, Tromsø and Bodø,
Jan Peter is very competent with maps, perhaps....?

Thank you very, very much. It is late here. I will look at this tomorrow and reply again. Hans Martin, my grandfather died in Norway. My father Hans Emil Martin Solo came to America with his mother Marth when he was about 9 years old, in 1906.

Marriage records, Tromsø town Feb. 28. 1846, couple nr 4, top right page.

Ungkarl/Bachelor Ole Hansen Tromsø, age 27 and Pige/unmarried girl Ingeborg Nilsdatter (Tromsø) age 26.

(This next I am not sure about)

Fødested/Place of birth:
Ole, Waage parish, it seems he arrived Tromsø nov. 11. 1845, but Bodøen (Bødø) and Mai 5. 1842 is mentioned, perhaps he left Waage for Bodø.
Ingeborg: Vangen (Vossevangen) sokn (parish) Voss main parish. The date August 20. 1842 and Bodøen (Bodø) mai. 5. 1842 (both mentioned on the same date), but I am not sure about all the information written even the lettes are bright and clear, 1846 language has changed a lot since then.

Ole´s father: Hans Halvorsen (Bulo Dec. 22.-26 written behind him don´t make any sence to me at the moment)
Ingeborg´s father: Nils Pedersen (behind him Qvikne and June 6. -28 is written, Qvikne/Kvikne is a parish in Sogn og Fjordane)
