Hi Jodie,
Knud 1811 and Aasne 1813 is correct.

Knud´s godparents;
Ane Larsdatter Hove, Aslaug Halvorsdatter from Bakka, Kittel Elevsen Tveten, Halvor Kittelsen Espeseth, Ole Engelbrigtsen Bakka

Aasne´s godparents;
Olaug Knudsdatter Midtgaard, Thore Thorsdtr. Bakka, Ane Olsdatter Øverbakke, Knud Larsen Rue, Ole Ingebrigtsen Haave.

The word Gravfested is for the person above, it means buried.

Look into these records for Gransherad/Hovin.

They were all bap. in Hovin.
Some parish´s has cause of death, have not seen it here.

Hi.
Hovin and Østre Bakka 1865.
Gunlek and Birgit with two children, Thore age 28, schoolteacher and Ingebjør age 31, helping with housework, two servants, Thore and Birgit and a fostedaughter, Joraan.

Gunleks brother Kittil b. 1810 married July 22.1838 Gunnild Thoresdatter Sauro.
Kittil married as Gullik Olsen Espeseth.
Espeseth was his uncle Halvor 1884 inheritance from 1807. If Kittil lived threre or owned Espeseth I do not know, see right page #4

Picture of some of the farms in Hovin.

Kåre and Eeibache Thank-you once again,
I found both of the records for Birgith Olsen.
I assume the death was listed on the same page for Birgith Olsen born and died Aug 29 1817
I like the ones that have columns. I can make out the Birth date and Bap date.
I will next try to find the Death records that were listed for some of them on the LDS site.
With the clues on the LDS site and you giving me the links to the books I can find them. But without you I would be lost on what to do or where to look.
The Person in this family that I have no information about is Ole Knudsen Wastved. In an earlier posting you thought he was from Wastved so I kept that with him.
Can we find info on him?
Jodie

Ole Knudsen, Wastved was baptized March 21 1773, see #13. His parents were Knud Halvorsen, Wastved and Gro Olsdatter.

I read Ole and Sigrids marriage as Febr 11 1798.

Ole died Nov 29 1849, see #1 1850 - he was then 75 years old.

You are welcome Jodie.

Kittil Olsen (married Aslaug Nerisdatter 1770) was from Mielland (todays Miland) in Gransherad, bap. March 3. 1743, see right page 2. bap. for d 3 Marti here;
"Døbt samme dag...." Bap same day Ole Kittelsen Miellands son named Kittel.
Last line after the godparents before the next bap. its written;
"Moder Aagot Halvorsdatter blev introduseret samme dag"
The mother Aagoth Halvorsdatter (born on Hafsten) was introdused same day.

After a child-birth the mother had to wait about 6 weeks before she could visit the church again.
It consisted of a a ceremony where she was met by the priest outside the church who followed the mother and introdued her to the congregation.

Aagot Halvorsdatter and Ole Kittelsen Mielland married June 25. 1729, see top right page here:
Copu....Ole Kittelsen Mielland and Aagoth Halvorsdatter

Aagot was born on Hafsten in Gransherad bap. April 2. 1699 (link comes later if you don´t want to find it yourself in Hjartdal parish?)

Hi, Eibache
The above Posting “Ole Knudsen, Wastved was baptized March 21 1773, see #13. His parents were Knud Halvorsen, Wastved and Gro Olsdatter”
Am I looking at this wrong? It appears #13 takes me to the year 1835, To a Ole Olson
Thanks, Jodie

Eibache,
Can you help me translate a Bap date and/or birth Date for Sigri, see #38
Would she be Bap in Hovin?

Same for Halvor #57

Also can you please confirm I read these dates right. I think they are correct.
Sigurd, see #41 Looks like Aug 12 1764

Berget Knudsdatter Wastved #54 Bap 25 Sep 1768

Olaug Knudsen Wastved #72 Abt. 11 Nov 1770

Aasne Knudsen Wastved #22 Abt. 02 Apr 1775

Thank-you for the correction on #13
Thank-you, Jodie

Thank-you Kåre
I don’t know how to find the right book to find Aagot’s record born on Hafsten in Gransherad bap. April 2. 1699

Yes I think I would like the link.

How do you navigate the search for the DIS-Norge page? What does Søk etter ressurser say? What does Søk etter commune mean?
Thank-you, Jodie

Hi Jodie.

Ole Kittelsen Mielland exchanged land with Hølje Halvorsen Bakka, in addition he paid Hølje Halvorsen 226 Riksdaler 1748 and bacame owner of Bakka.

Aagot Halvorsdatter, her father was Halvor (Andersen) Hafstein, the mother, not mentioned in the bap. record was Ingeborg Thorkildsdatter, Aagoot was bap. in Gransheard old stave church (demolished).

Gransherad -99
"Dmca. Palm: (Palm Sunday April 2.) bapt. Halvor Hafstens Barn (Child) Aagaat,
see top right page (4. column) here.

This family goes fare back, starts in Heddal via Hjartdal/Gransherad/Tinn/Hovin.
I will set up a family line by the use of Hovin-soga (historian book from Hovin), Heddal bygdbook (Hitterdalsboken) and a family tre I found online that match my information.

Need some time to sort it out in according to some vaccation.

Søk etter ressurser; Search for resources
Søk etter kommune; Search for municipality (ex. write Tinn and click)

OK, I need help again. I thought I might be able to do this but I can’t find the years for the deaths in Tinn.
How would I find the death for the following? Only the Death dates were listed so I am assuming they died in Tinn
Knud Olsen died 29 Dec 1829
Aasne Olsen died 22 Apr 1882
Birgith Olsen died 05 Jan 1830
Thanks, Jodie
