Martin Halvorsen arrived Quebec 04 May 1893 on the SS SARMATIAN,
Hard to read his destination... Brodland Wisconsin?? Same destination: Milla Olafsen (19) and Lars Eriksen (20)
Can't believe that they have such poor image quality of the scans in 2020...

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGGF-447Q

Their father is Halvor Haakenson

Here is Marius at home with the folks in 1900 census:

Probably the origin of the Holmen name on farm Venbergsholmen in 1875 census:

The family in 1891:

Another sibling? Gina Holmen going to her brother Martin Holmen in Montana?

Good find Jackie, seems as if this could be the right family. Here is the confirmation record for Ole Marius Halvorsen. Parents are Halvor Hågensen and Oliane Olsdtr. Same as the original record for Martin Halvorsen.

Yes it is the right people. My great grandfather Richard who was a brother of Martin and Marius was also born in "Holmen". Venbergsholmen is the correct name though. He was born 1873. Thank you all very much. I should have some 3rd cousins over there. I guess.
