Hamburg America Line steamship built in 1904 at Hamburg by Blohm & Voss, originally intended for cruising. Sold to the Bergen Steamship Company in 1926. After being captured, she became a German hospital ship during World War II. Bombed and sunk at Pillau, Poland, in 1945. In the photo, the ship is seen on a cruise in the Mediterranean, at Algiers.
