The Norefjord, (ex. Norefos) was built in 1919 by Wood Skinner & Co. Ltd. in Newcastle. Her details were: Tonnage: 3,082 tons gross, 2,820 under deck and 1,917 net. Dimensions: Poop 94 tons; House on deck 162 tons. Propulsion: triple expansion engine with 3 cylinders of 25, 41 & 68 inches diameter respectively; stroke 45 inches; 310 nominal horsepower; engine built by North East Marine Engine Co. Ltd. in Newcastle. She was a steel construction with a single screw and 1 deck. She was fitted for oil fuel, equipped with electric light and wireless. Water ballast. Call sign: MTQD.
