White Star Line steamship built 1891 at Belfast by Harland & Wolff. Originally built and used as a live stock carrier. Sold to the Dominion Line and renamed "Welshman" in 1904. Her sister, the S/S "Nomadic" was also transferred to the Dominion Line and renamed "Cornishman". The Welshman was transferred to the Leyland Line in 1921.
