This was an American flag ship of 421 register tons. She normally sailed in the NY- New Orleans trade. For most of her life she was operated by E.D. Hurlbut & Co., NY. She first shows up in available sources in 1830, sailing NY-NO. In 1842 she sailed NY - Havre under Captain F.W. Spencer. In 1843 and 1845 she sailed NY-Havre under Captain S.O. Williams. In 1843 she sailed NY-NO under Captain Spencer. Same in 1846 under Captain Williams. ["Queens of the Western Ocean" by Carl C.
