Sjur Paulsen and Britha Willumsdatter were married July 19 1829, see #3
Sjur came from Ryg and from the 1801 census we can see that his parents were Paul Pedersen and Ingeborg Siursdatter.
Britha Willumsdatter was baptized Jan 14 1804, see left page here
her parents can be found by the 1801 census at Molnæs in Skånevik, they were Willum Larsen and Anne Svendsdatter. See here

I think I may have accidentally created a mess. Most of the data I have about the Seversons was supplied in a website found on world connect on ancestery .com. What I am sure of is Sever Severson & Bertha are in the U.S. census starting with 1900. Edward, Eddie H. [my Grandfather] Sarah. Sadie, & Christiana also are in the census records. I am begining to believe that all the " brothers" are connected to another SEVER. In this world connect website they have Sever with another " wife" Carrie.
I hope I have not confused everyone. Berthas Parents Edward Hollon & Sarah Hallen were on her death certificate.

No problem as long as we find out what is wrong and what is right.

Thank you for explaining the source for the confusing information. These other Grundy Co. Seversons are probably completely separate families - possibly from areas near Etne, Hordaland, Norway, but that doesn't matter. Or it is possible that someone who posted those family files online just did some very sloppy ancestral research and you don't want that!
The area around Grundy Co. Illinois had a huge number of Norwegian emigrants. Some might turn out to be relatives - or not. But I wouldn't worry about that. I feel certain that we've tracked back to the correct "Sever Severson & Bertha" and you can build and research your own accurate family tree from this point.

I'm hoping that you've started studying the basic Norwegian research advice that was linked above. If you need more links to advice on how to proceed, use Norwegian resource webpages, the scanned records online, etc -- just ask.

Baptismal record for Sever Seversons wife Bertha Hollon, actually Britha Ingemundsdatter, Haaland, is #85
her parents were Ingemund Tollevsen and Siri Christensdatter (Edward Hollon & Sarah Hallan) who married Nov 17 1839, see #18
Ingemunds father was Tollev Christiansen, Ramsvig and Siris father was Christen Hansen, Haaland.
Ingemund was baptized May 17 1812, see bottom of right page here
his mother was Marta Ingemundsdatter.
Siri Christensdatter was born Sept 19 1820, see #19
her mother was Ingebor Alvalsdatter.

Hello all. I have been busy deleting all the Grundy Co. Ill. Seversons and all their offspring.Thank you so much for the time you all took to find the information you have supplied me. I now have my family tree in shape. You have made me a regular reader of your web page and some of the articles about the challenge the families had to endure. Just simply thanks!!!
