What broke the dam of information open on this thread is that the second OP posted that the last name of the husband of Madil Nilson was named Anderson not Svenson or a variation of that name and the family was from Norway not Sweden. Funny how small change in information can make such a big deal in what additional info can be found.
I will pursue the family tree of Madil Nilsen and her father Haldor Nilsenhere and cover the family tree of Albert H Anderson and his father Fingel Andersen later.

You are right Jackie, I totally forgot about this comment from Tore Vassdal. "As a small response to your helpfullness, I send you and jkmarler two old photoes with an e-mail, one showing the farm Vassdal about 1950, the other - twice as old - showing Karl Andreas' four elder brothers. I". And you are also correct as I also did not receive any phots from him.
