Hello, I am trying to get information on Signe C Larson, my paternal grandmother. I'm looking for family information, migration information and or port of entry. I believe her father was Olav Fredrik Olsen (1850-19320 and her mother was Anne Marie Lampe (1852-1929).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

One chalenge is that the father Olav also appears under the similar names Ole, Olaf and Olof.

He was born 1850-05-13 and baptized Ole Frederik (top of page): https://goto.digitalarkivet.no/kb20051017040448

A word of caution here. While the data posted by Tore appears to be correct as is the Family Tree on FamilySearch, there are several Family Trees on Ancestry.com that appear to have Signe C confused with a Signe May who married a Daniel Edward Dike and who lived in Crow Wing County.

Another thing that bothers me is that I have not seen any evidence that the Signe C Olsen daughter of Olav Fredrik Olsen (1850-19320 and Anne Marie Lampe (1852-1929). was ever married.

Are we sure that the Signe C Larson you are investigating is the same as the daughter Singe C Olsen daughter of Olav Fredrik Olsen (1850-19320 Anne Marie Lampe (1852-1929).

I guess I would like to see what further information you have on your maternal grandmother. Perhaps some census record or a marriage records indicating her maiden name.

Aged 40 a Signa C Olson is listed as having obtained a marriage license to Charles Jones aged 44 in Minneapolis in 1925.

Divorce granted to Signa from Charles in 1949 reported in the paper.

Every census gives this Signa C a Sweden birthplace.

Even with the discrepancy in the listed birth year, it seems very likely that the Signe who was born to Ole Fredrik Olsen and Anne Marie Lampe in Tønsberg in 1879 is the same as the one in the find-a-grave-recotd linked to similir records for her brother and parents: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/125426324/signa_charlotte-olsen

The problem is the absence of the Larson surname in this find-a-grave record. Another FAG-record lists one Signe C Larson who seems to have been born to Olsen parents in Oslo in 1880; is there any chance that sho could be your grandmother instead?
