The Norway Heritage Forum has long been a meeting place for questions and discussions about Norwegian emigration, genealogy, passenger lists, ships, and migration history. The forum is now (fall 2026) being relaunched as part of the updated Norway Heritage website. The traditional discussion-forum format has been replaced with a simpler approach better suited to the way people now search for information, exchange knowledge, and seek research assistance. Social media and, more recently, AI-based tools have taken over many of the functions once served by traditional online forums. Relevant information can now also be contributed directly on other parts of the website, including articles, person pages, ship pages, and other historical records. This makes it easier to add corrections, supplementary information, and research notes where they are most relevant. All posts from the former forum have been preserved and remain available here as part of the Norway Heritage research archive. New topics can be started in the relaunched forum, while replies and follow-up comments can still be added to existing discussions. Questions for which you are seeking an answer should preferably be posted in the Forum, where they are more visible to others and better suited to discussion and follow-up.
