Reply author: AntonH A little hard to read the entry, but the fathers name looks to me like Elling Sevaldsen. And mother Ingeborg Larsdatter. Am I looking at the wrong entry. See last entry
Reply author: AntonH I would guess this is the Swedish entry you have referenced.
Reply author: AntonH Looking at the original manifest for this person, I would say that the name of the person could be Martinius Ellingsen.but it is difficult to read. He is listed as a laborer and from Sweden.
Reply author: Anne Brit Benum The only thing I am a bit uncertain about, is the last answer. All the others are absolutely correct!
Reply author: AntonH One place we might look is in Wisconsin. His brother Gustav seems to have gotten married there.
Reply author: AntonH A possible candidate in Wisconsin, not married living alone.
Reply author: AntonH I have not found Martin Ellingson after the 1895 Wisconsin Census. The closest I have found is Martin Evenson, also spelled Evanson. Married in 1902 to Pauline Andersen in Duluth, Minnesota. I find both of them in the 1905 Wisconsin Census.
Reply author: AntonH He is found in 1910 listed as Martin Avenson. Arrival year is off by one year.
Reply author: jkmarler A possible in 1910:
Reply author: Anne Brit Benum Thank you so very much!!!! How interesting that you even found his Brother Gustav!!!!!
Reply author: Anne Brit Benum Gustav Ellingsen is NOT Martinius' brother - I'm sorry I wrote that error!!! But they are close relatives!

Reply author: AntonH Anne you need to tell us who exactly you ar looking for. This is the family I have been looking for found in the 1865 Norwegian Census. It has brothers Martin and Gustav Ellingsen. Please tell us if we are looking for a different Martin.
Reply author: Anne Brit Benum Hi - I am sorry I have mixed wrongly! Of course it is the brothers Martin and Gustav Ellingsen I am working With! As I said: I am very sorry I have done wrong. It is good you have corrected me now!!!
Reply author: Anne Brit Benum Elling Olsen and Anne Sevaldsdaughter have I mentioned initially as Martinus' parents! He had left in 1865 - that's why he is NOT in the counting With his other Brothers and sisters. I am very sorry I am doing much wrong. I have now checked again what I wrote in my first Message.
