...in Verdal in North Trøndelag. His confirmation took place October 9, 1870 the same place. His parents were Elling Olson and Anne Sevaldsdaughter. He left to Jämtland in Sweden the autumn 1872. and he left for North America May 3, 1882. Is it possible to find this?

A little hard to read the entry, but the fathers name looks to me like Elling Sevaldsen. And mother Ingeborg Larsdatter. Am I looking at the wrong entry. See last entry

Looking at the original manifest for this person, I would say that the name of the person could be Martinius Ellingsen.but it is difficult to read. He is listed as a laborer and from Sweden.

I had dismissed this Martin Ellingson earlier in the search since he seemed to be the son of Aage Ellingson. The family lived in Wisconsin and then moved to Nebraska. Here they are in 1870.

Martin Ellingson
in the 1870 United States Federal Census
Name: Martin Ellingson
Age in 1870: 18
Birth Year: abt 1852
Birthplace: Norway
Home in 1870: Boscobel (Corporation), Grant, Wisconsin
Race: White
Gender: Male
Post Office: Boscobel

Household Members:

Peter Ellingson 23
Tena Ellingson 21
Martin Ellingson 18
Ameal Ellingson 16
Adolph Ellingson 12
Henry Ellingson 8
Hedolph Ellingson 3
Oscar Ellingson 1

Some info on Aage

Aage Ellingson

Probably baptism for Aage

Aage Ellingsen

Anne you need to tell us who exactly you ar looking for. This is the family I have been looking for found in the 1865 Norwegian Census. It has brothers Martin and Gustav Ellingsen. Please tell us if we are looking for a different Martin.

Elling Olsen and Anne Sevaldsdaughter have I mentioned initially as Martinus' parents! He had left in 1865 - that's why he is NOT in the counting With his other Brothers and sisters. I am very sorry I am doing much wrong. I have now checked again what I wrote in my first Message.
