Hi

I am trying to find the name of the ship or country of entry for my great grandmother , Ragnhild Olsdatter Lunde from Hull England . Her destination was Fargo Dakota. She left Kristiana on September 11, 1885 on the S. Rollo per the Digitalarkivet. She was from Trysil and went by the name Sofia Lunde or Sophie Lunde and is listed as Sophie A Lunde. She was 17 years old when she left Norway as ppd passenger. I have searched the NY passenger ships listed as possible passenger ships on microfilm with no luck. My thinking now is that she went from Hull to Quebec. Could use any help on quebec passenger list and wondering if she departed on the Samaritan or S Parisan mentioned as possible connections here. Also wondering if the name of the agent would be of use and how to obtain that name.

Thanks for any help

Anne

Yes, the name of the agent would help you to determine what company she was traveling with. As this information was omitted in the transcriptions at Digitalarkivet available for 1885, you will have to go for the films. About Canadian arrivals and finding records you might find this article of interest: Hunting Passenger Lists Here is a list of corresponding ships for the S/S Rollo journey 1885-09-11 Christiania - Christiansand - Hull
