I am trying to find my GGrandfather, his name was Kristian Martin Petersen, and was born in either Christian or Ringerike around 1878. His fathers name was Peter Petersen and his mothers name was Annie Oleson. The only information I have about him is that he married in NSW Australia in 1907 to Grace Pomery.
At this stage I have been unable to find out how he came to Australia, or anything else about him except he was a masseuse and a bootmaker. Can any one help

Norderhov church records are available online:

His birth record, father Peder Jonsen Skaug/Skoug is listed for the dates Jan Peter provided, could not make the link work.

The police exit records are available online, he would be here if he left from Norway:

This is the link, see #214 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5893&idx_id=5893&uid=ny&idx_side=-58
Peder was probably 22 years and Anne 28 years . Christian Martin was probably their first child - they were renting room at the Skaug farm.
