This is what I know about Amund and Pernille Pederson.

This two persons was married when they left Norway.
Amund was born January 24 1806 in Hadeland,Gran in Norway
Pernille was born February 4 1810 in Hadeland,Gran in Norway.

In May 1 1851 they left Gran and there destination was America.

It says that they went with bark Richard Cobden and Mads E.Langgaard was captain on this boat.
They left from Christiania[Oslo] May 22 1851 and came to New York August 2 1851.

I want information about where they went and if they had children.
Are there anyone who want to help me with these two?

Have a nice day

Yes,
they left Oslo on bark Richard Cobden 1851 as you pointed out, Anund Pedersen and Pernille (Engebrekt/Embretsdatter) Pedersen* #51-52

Putting in Pernilles parents 1. name: Engebrekt/Embret and Berthe
Putting in Amunds parents 1. name: Peder and Anne
just in case if some of their children was named after the grandparents.

Aren't Peder Amundsen age 12 and Breche?? age 10 their children? Although, in the arrival manifest on 2 Aug 1851, it shows their last name as Pederson.

Yes,
they are Tami.
Peder named after his fathers father and Breche?? seems like a mix-up between her grandparents Engebrekt and Berthe. The clerk was uncertain about the namespelling himself.
My guess: Berthe Amundsdatter (Pedersen in US) age 10.

Amund was born in 1808. Maybe 1806 was a typo.

This is the right couple Lester,
Pernille Embrectsdatter (several spellings, Engebret in 1801 census) and Amund Pedersen Houg´s wedding record,
and you are right about Amund, he was born Jan. 24. 1808.

Amund and Pernille had their first child Anne in 1836, see #21 but she died after only 20 days, see #16

Les,

I just wanted to point out, that although Ancestry has him indexed under Ammerd Vedmin, on the original ship's passenger list, you can easily read that it is Amund Pedermen(Pedersen). Pernille, Peder and Breche are listed also.

Thanks Wanda,

I think I gave Ancestry enough information to correct all of the family name entries for Amund Pederson.

Just wish I could find out where they went after they arrived.

Hello everyone....

I think I am a little bit blind sometimes.....because I had not seen that they had children.
Thank you very much for telling me.....

Pernilles fathers name was Ingebrecht, later he wrote his name Engebreth.....sometimes Pernilles last name was wrote Embretsdatter,Engebretsdatter or Ingebredtsdatter, but when they emigrated she took her husbands last name Pedersen/Pederson.

Are there anyone who knows where they went?
Where they lived?

Have a nice day

This must be the strangest name changing I ever seen.
Is it any logical explonation how Amund Pedersen could change to Ammerd Vedmin in USA, or was it just a wrongspelling?
Vedmin sounds East Europeen or Russian to me.
