My grandmother was Margaret Matilda Gulbransen born in 1896 at Matakana Dargaville. Her father was Carl Gustav Gulbransen born around 1870 we believe. Mother Annie ? Barres. They or their parents were from Norway. Margaret married Clarence Wright in 1915 and they had 3 sons and 2 daughters. My father Ronald Wright was the youngest and is the only one still alive and living in Ruakaka, Whangarei. Margaret had 4 brothers and 3 sisters as far as I have been able to find out. Brothers were Carl, Gustav, Hans & Gordon and sisters were Sarah, Ada & Annie. I'm hoping to find any relatives as I have not been able to find out very much about my grandmothers parents or ancestors.
Regards
Glenis

LDS records has two submitters on Margaret Mathilda Gulbrandsens record:
GR & AC GARLIC, 1186 E 900 SO #29, ST GEORGE, UTAH, USA and
JILL B PALMER, 5 MARINA VIEW DR 170, WEST HARBOUR AUCLAND NZ.

I have one Carl Gulbrandsen age 6 in 1872, emigration on ship Høvding Mai 31. with his parents and three brothers, place of living (Christiania) Oslo, dest New Zealand. Høvding arrievd NZ Sept. 15 (no passenger list available)

His mother was Tarine Gulbrandsen and his father was Jens Nilsen, strange and unusual naming, but if this is a blind track its of no importance.

Hi Glenis, I'm not sure if you are still interested in following this post, but just in case this is what I have. I have a GGGrandparent of the name Carl Gustav Gulbransen, he is buried at Matakohe (have yet to find his grave), He married Annie Jane McCullum. My GGrandmother was his daughter Sarah Regina Gulbransen, born 01 January 1886 at Matakohe, died 07 Nov 1981 and is buried in Whangarei. She married William George Johnson, born 20 March 1883, died 05 March 1957. Grandad is Ernest Johnson who married Molly Ayton, both are now deceased.

I hope that this may help.

Flo

Hi Flo, if you click on Glenis's username you can send an email from the pop-up menu.

Maybe I'll add a bit in case it helps someone some time. A My Heritage family tree (your tree I think?) lists the following, and by the way, if this is your tree, thank you for posting it:

Carl Gustave (Charles) Gulbransen (1850-1930)
Born: 03 June 1850 in Christiana, Norway
Died: 21 July 1930 at Paparoa, Northland
Father: Carl Christave Gulbransen (no dates or locations)
Mother: Ellen Hensen (no dates or locations)
No sources posted online (but may be in private archives of tree creator)
