Is there any way to find passenger lists for this voyage? Is it likely that any newspaper or other publication in Oslo, Kristiansand or London would have printed a list with names of the passengers departing or arriving with this ship?
Does anybody know if there exists records from the Wilson line that might contain passenger lists?

sincerely,
Per Helge Seglsten

There are no surviving passenger lists for the Wilson Line steamships sailing with emigrants between Scandinavian ports and England. The only source I know of that could be of use to possibly partly reconstruct the passenger lists would be the emigration registers (police lists). I have never seen any passenger lists for the Wilson Line steamships printed in the newspapers, and as every ship would carry several hundred emigrants every week it is very unlikely that any newspaper would be printing such lists.

The emigration lists at Riksarkivet/Digitalarkivet only contain one of the passengers from this trip, probably because only passengers destined for places outside of Europe were registered. Aren't these lists the "police lists" you're thinking about? Or do you mean the passport protocols (which of course is missing for this year...).

According to the Ship's list the "Bravo" that sailed from Oslo to London in 1909 had to be a Fred. Olsen vessel, as the Wilson Line's "Bravo" was sold in 1904 and scrapped in 1907. The next Wilson line "Bravo" was built after the second world war. The Fred. Olsen "Bravo" was built in 1908, and sold to Sig. Bergesen in 1916, but later repurchased. Am I missing something, or is it really so? I can't find anything on Fred. Olsen in riksarkivet's Felleskatalogen. Do Fred. Olsen lines still keep their old archives at their headquarters in Oslo?

You are correct, that S/S Bravo can not have been the Wilson Line steamer.

Thanks! Does anybody know where the Fred. Olsen archives are, and what might be found in them (crew lists, passenger lists etc)?

You will probably get the best answers regarding any surviving archives if you try calling the Fred Olsen offices in Oslo.
