Hi

I have been serching the Rygge parish records 1771-1814 for a death for Ole Nielsen and have found him for the year 1809 page 252.
My question is, there is 2 dates Nov 5 and Dec 12 so which is his date of death?. I can not read the word after Nielson.

Thanks

The page you refer to 252
On top of the columns you can read
Død (Death), Begrawen (Burried) then the column for name and residence, Dødsag (Cause of death) Alder (Age)
For Ole Nielsen
December 5, December 12, Ole Nielsen, Nerum, do (as above) Sott, 66 Aar
Ole and his family in 1801.
Ole is said to be 66 years old when he died, but the 1801 census says he was 55 years old then. I believe you should trust the census, you will find his parent as "Niels Nerem og Anne Larsdatter" in 1746.
Ole had a brother Lars you will find born in 1747.
Ole Nielsen and Ragnild Mouritsdatter had their first child Inger Maria in 1769.

Hi eibache

Thanks, I had been given this possible date of death and wanted to verifie it was the corrct Ole. As it turns out this Ole Nielsen is not mine. My Ole Nielsen was born 1752, parents were Nils Torstensen and Ronaug Guttormsdtr. Ole married Joran Halvorsdtr Brodlos which was information supplied by you and Kaato on an earlier post.I have alot of info on them apart from deaths. It is good to have people like you to help these check things out.

Thanks
