Hi, I am really impressed Peder for what you have come up with.
What I do thing is that the Peder Nilsen found by Lester Hanson living in Richmond, Staten Island, in the 1920 and 1930 census is our Peder, he was married to Rakkla o. probably Rakel Oline.
Jim found Peder's Naturalization record for 1906, seems that he is living in Brooklyn at that time.
1917 WW1 Draft found by Peder. This no doubt our Peder Helmik, his nearest relativ was Oline living in Richmond.

Thank You, Magnar.

Thank you Jim, Yes, I do think this is our Peder. According to his Naturalization paper he lived in Brooklyn, Kings, at that time.
and Staten Island later.
I haqppen to know Staten Island, work on a ship which docked at Staten Island and knew that it is a river btween this two County. Don't know when the bridge was made. The one who is down South knew about the couple ( Peder and Bertha). Think he will get a surprise. Thank you to all, I am so impressed. I can tell that I had been searching for a great grand uncle for years, by this site I am in touch with descendants. Magnar.
