Found my great grandfather Isaac Nelson from Bramble Telemark birth record 6 Jan 1853 at the bottom page 360 line 27 Parish Birth Record: But I need help figuring out the names of Isaac (Izak) parents and his full birth name. Handwriting in Norwegian is proving more than I can decipher. Am sending this out to Norwegian forums in hopes that someone can help me or refer me to some site that can help reading handwritten norwegian entries

The last is an abbr. (Not readable to me) for the location of farm Bamble in the parish. Eiet.
Farm Bamble belonged to Nenseth School district, Bamble main parish.

Bamble=Eiet.

Bambleeiet was a small holding under the main Bamble farm.

Now I read it, there was no abbr Eiet.
Thanks.

The sub farm under Bamble was most likely Heivanne, separated from Bamble and leased 1834 to a low price.
The reason was probably there were no houses there.

The main house, stable and barn, all in good condition and some ruins are left today.
Heivanne is now only used for vaccation, and has been in the same family since the 1870s.

Heivanne is named after the forest lake Heivannet.

Niels Gundersen was a 44 years old widower when he married Anne Carine Isaksdatter, who was 24 years old, Oct 19 1849, #31.

Niels Gundersen was at the holding Thorsdal under Bambleejet when he married and his father was Gunder Nielsen.

Anne Carine Isaksdatter came from Gjerrestad and her father was Isak Gundersen.

Before his marriage to Anne Carine Isaksdatter Niels Gundersen had been married to Anne Andersdatter, marriage record #19 dated Nov 25 1836. At this marriage he was also a widower.

Niels Gundersens first marriage was with Guri Aadnesdatter, they were married Jan 22 1829, #3.

in these marriage parish registers, can you tell me what the headers on the pages say/designate? I am looking at the registry posted under #39 by eibache and trying to read if there are parents of the groom/bride listed.

- please note that the correct record is #31.

Also note that in my posting I gave you the name of the fathers of both the bride and the groom.

Heivanne 1865

Isak had a brother Niels and a sister Anne.
The farm could feed 2 big-cattle and they could sow 1/8 barrel of Wheat, 1/4 barrel of Barley, 1 barrel of Oats and 2 barrels of Potatoes.
