Your link didn't work for me. Here is another link:

http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=emikra1&personpostnr=67229&merk=67229

"Boda" was her destination. One or two above her the person's destination was given as "Boda, Iowa", so most likely Bode, Iowa.

Your previous topic about this question:

New Orleans arrivals are searchable:

Bode in Iowa was one of 9 main settlements for emigrants from Nordre (Northern) and Søndre (Southern) Land in Oppland county.
In USA they called themselves "Landinger"

Connie's query was earlier started on another website and some limited research was already done in Land, Oppland, Norway records -
http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.iowa.counties.humboldt/150/mb.ashx

That family was indeed headed to Bode in Humboldt County, Iowa.

My own great-grandfather came from a different Oppland district in 1883 and was also headed for that Iowa county. He left Norway from Oslo also on the ship Rollo but a month earlier than her ancestors and he entered North America through Quebec, Canada. But he was as poor as a church mouse so may have been more concerned with the cost of travel.

If New Orleans arrival research doesn't work out -- try Quebec.

The ship NESTORIAN arrived Quebec May 27th, and is a likely match, but I couldn't find the two mentioned....

They were not on the Nestorian that arrived Quebec May 27th, but the way spellings were distorted it could be impossible to identify them also.
thanks for links and all hints and suggestions.

My own ancestor I mentioned earlier who also left from a nearby district in Oppland about a month earlier in 1883 than the persons of this particular query, left from Oslo on the Rollo, and was headed for Humboldt County Iowa has been located on a record leaving Oslo AND found on records arriving in Quebec BUT there was a delay somewhere along the trip. He didn't arrive in Quebec until almost a month from when I expected to find an arrival in the records. I had to search through quite a number of ships lists to find him finally arriving there...I finally did and I know that he did arrive in Humboldt County.

Humboldt County Iowa had two locations which were favored by Norwegian emigrants -- the Bode area was one, the other was Thor in Norway township of the county. They are located on different corners of the county - on opposite sides of the county seat which is fairly well centrally located in that county.

Humboldt County Iowa is where I lived much of my early life and where I have quite a few ancestors buried.

Not an easy find. But here is some information. On the page before Ingeborg and Bolethe is a Kaja Peders. Here she is arriving in Canada. On the same page in the original manifest slightly above Kaja are Ingeborg and Ole Løvøen and Anna on the previous page. I have not yet found Ingeborg and Bolethe on this original manifest.

Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935
Name: Kaja Petersen
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1858
Date of Arrival: 29 May 1883
Vessel: Toronto
Search Ship Database:
Port of Arrival: Quebec, Quebec
Port of Departure: Belfast, Ireland; Liverpool, England
Roll: C-4532

Here is the Ancestry.com record on Ingeborg Løvøn

Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935
Name: Ingeborg Lovsen
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1864
Date of Arrival: 29 May 1883
Vessel: Toronto
Search Ship Database:
Port of Arrival: Quebec, Quebec
Port of Departure: Belfast, Ireland; Liverpool, England
Roll: C-4532

Of the 13 pages in the original manifest only 3 contain names of a scandanavian nature. Page 6, 7, and 8. Looking at the pages I did not see any names resembling Ingeborg and Bolethe. However there are about six or so names on these pages that are unreadable.
