I am looking for the marriage of Stoe and Berte. I think it is 21 Oct 1719 in Eidanger. This is the information I have so far:

Trol. 21/10-1719 i Eid.
Stoe Søfvrenssøn med Berthe Ingebredsd.
Caut: Daniel Christenssøn Arweschovf og Job Christenssøn Arweschovf.

This information came from: http://www.eidangerslekt.org/eidanger-bygdebok-ny/tveten-sondre/odegaarden/stoe-sorensen-1695.htm

I think I have found the church record because I see the names of Daniel and Job. But I don't know what caut: means. However I don't seem to find the names of Stoe or Berte. Here is the church record:

Source information: Telemark county, Eidanger, Parish register (official) nr. 3 (1719-1732), Chronological list 1719, no page no.
Permanent pagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=7858&idx_id=7858&uid=ny&idx_side=-7
Permanent imagelink: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20061205030359.jpg

I think the 2nd record on the right hand page is the one. Could someone tell me what the whole record says? I have looked thru these records many times and this is the only one that seems to come close. Thanks for any help.

- it stand for cautionist = guarantor.
The column list "Trolofwede" (Engagements)
Second record says "Den 21October Løfrdag i Eidanger Stoed Søfrensøn med Berthe Ingebredtsdatter. Cautionsmænn Daniel Christensøn, Arweschovf og Job Christensøn, Arweschovf."

Thank you Einar. I thought it was the right record. I see Berte's last name but I would never have been sure of Stoe's name. What is the role of a guarantor?

The role of the 'cautionister' is covered in this helpful article about using Norwegian parish records.
