Hi, I`m new to this forum but has registered as I`m searching for a Norwegian from Kvam, Nord-Fron, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, named Ole Myhre. Probably born around 1880 at the Myhre farm. I met him one summer on the farm in the 1960s. I had travelled "home" to spend his last years here among family and friends. Only problem most of them were already dead. Ole was the uncle of my grandmother and i have a letter he wrote to my g.ma. dated in 1969 from an postbox address in Littlefork Minn. On some web site in Minn. i found info that might lead to him and that he died in 1979 in Itasca Minn.
Any suggestions to where i can find further info about Oles life in Minn.? Just remembered that he also worked with timber logging in Canada and told us that a bear had visited his cabin an emptied the fridge.
All info will be highly appreciated.
