2 Things
1) Records begin in Archive 1n 1753. Would prior records have been in another parish ? Or is there another reason the records do not go back further ?
2) For born and baptised records, there is a gap from 1759 to 1762 covering pages from 72 through 77. Any information on this ?

Usually familysearch catalog description are more complete than this but this is what it says:
"Contains parish registers from Sande parish. Included Skoger parish until 1752 and Tangen parish from Strømsø in Buskerud county until 1752."

Here from Wikipedia:
"Sande in Vestfold is the site of the medieval era Sande Church (Sande kirke, Vestfold). It is located in Sande parish in Nord-Jarlsberg rural deanery. The building material is stone and brick, and it was built in 1150. In 1783, the church burned down; only the walls remained. Over the next eight years, it was rebuilt, and 1860 the church was refurnished. But the older altarpiece, baptismal font, and pulpit were retained. The pulpit is also from 1783 and features Rococo-style carvings. The font of soapstone is the only medieval inventory preserved.[7] "

Thanks. That's a confusing description from family search as I find nothing before 1753. Possibly records were able to be saved from the fire from 1753 to 1783 as they are there but previous to 1753 nothing is located in the files at that location in the archive.
