I would like to trace this mans family back further in time.

1801 Census has he and his wife Helena Larsdatter and his mother Gunhild Jonsdattter.

This Geni.com does not have Ole Halvorsen but has the supposed father of Ole. That is Halvor Kristiansen Rom. Along with some siblings etc.

Very good Tore. So Jon (Johannes) Olsen was born in 1748 and his father was Ole Halvorsen a husmann at Myra. Now the question I need to answer is, who is the father of Ole Halvorsen. Any ideas?

So he is likely not this man. From the Ancestry Tree?

Hvor sikker er du egentlig på at Peders første kone var Dorothe Børresdatter Næple? Jeg fant rent tilfeldig en annen Peder Jonsen som gifter seg samme året. Han er fra noe som ser ut som Ruudspladsejet og gifter seg med Johanna Halvorsdatter Huusebyeje(?).

Men hvis det er rett person du har funnet, kan det se ut som om han har en bror, Jens Jonsen Østre Trønborg.Han giftet seg i såfall med Christine Svendsdatter Lødengen i okt 1796.

Nå er det jo en viss mulighet for at jeg er fullstendig på bærtur her, men det nærmer jo seg bærsesongen for fullt nå, så du får være overbærende.

Based on the work done at Slekt og Data, I do not think it is going to be possible to go further than Jens Jonsen Østre Trønborg
