Engebret arrived in New York in June 1909 on the SS United States from Christiania, Norway. Born in the capital in 1887, he lived in Hurum, possibly Tofte, before emigrating. He intended to stay with his cousin Mr. John Carlson of 525-48th St. Brooklyn, NY. What happened to him after that, did he marry, have children....? Any information would be much appreciated. Greetings from Moss, Norway. MS.

There is one possibility on the Social Security Death Index http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi
Bert (Americanized for Engebret??) Sundby born 18 May 1887 died Mar 1964 in Washington State.
This is the USGenWeb site for Washington. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wagenweb/
You might find some help there.
