Hi, Ole Osmondson b. Strandebarm, Norway 7. august 1866 and mother widow Brita (Bertha) Pederson b. Kvinnherad 27. December 1824. They came ashore in Boston, Massachusett May 1883 and their intention was for Illinois, this is the last sign.
Ole had a brother Thomas b. Strandebarm, Norway January 10. 1861. He went to America 1882, Next time seen he married Sarah Anderson at Grundy Co. Ill. 1887. Thomas and Family lived most of the time at Putnam Co. Ill. The parents of these two Brothers was Osmond Torbjørnson and Brita Pedersdtr. I know what I need about Thomas, nothing about Ole after coming to Boston.

Here is a candidate, Not in Illinois but close. birth year and arrival year are also not exact but close. Children born in Wisconsin. Same candidate as the one found in your earlier search, Link from JaneC.

I think you've found the same Ole Osmundsen and Oline Hansen who were ruled out in that other thread. Their marriage record is posted, with his parents named as Osmund Olson and Anlaug Hansen. More here:

I'd like to see the records on Thomas in Illinois. Magnar, you "know what you need about Thomas" but the forum has not seen those findings. Ole was traveling to Thomas, and any info on Thomas is relevant to the forum in seeking to help you find Ole. |

Thank you, Yes this is my Thomas (Thorbjørn) Osmondson. I also did find him at Family Tree rootweb. There his birth year is one year error. Both the two boys were born at Hagen, Kysnes, Strandebarm. When their father died in 1867, Brita and children moved across the fjord to a small place at Tegland.

Here is a candidate for Brita Pedersdatter. No sign of a Ole on the same page. Birth month and year are correct but immigration is off by one year. Note the large number of children. Does that fit your Brita at all.

| Hi, Thank you. No this not my Brita, I am pretty sure she only had those two living boys, Thomas and Ole. Brita was ca. 58 when coming to America. Magnar. |
