Your original person Kristianna Vilhelmine Rasmussen has been particularly difficult to track but here is a little guess on the trip using AI. I asked about the time needed to make the trip.
Okay, that's a cool question! Thinking about that whole journey really puts into perspective how much travel has changed. Let's break it down, keeping in mind we're talking about 1910-ish. Norway to England (Feeder Ship): This leg would likely depend on the specific ports and weather, but a feeder ship across the North Sea could probably take anywhere from 2 to 4 days. It wasn't always a direct sprint, and some might have made stops. England to Quebec (Steamship): This was the major transatlantic portion. A typical steamship journey in that era, especially for emigrants, would generally take about 7 to 14 days to cross the Atlantic. Faster luxury liners might do it quicker, but for the average emigrant, it was a longer haul. Quebec to British Columbia (CPR Train): Once on the CPR, the journey across Canada was also a significant undertaking. A transcontinental train journey in 1910 could take roughly 5 to 7 days, possibly a bit more depending on stops, track conditions, and the specific destination in BC. So, if you add all that up, a rough estimate for the entire journey from Norway to British Columbia in 1910 would be around 14 to 25 days, or even a little more. That's a pretty epic trip!

Using the above timeline She would have likely missed the 1910 US Census . If she arrived in BC late 1910 and left early 1911 to move to Montana she would have also missed the 1911 Canadian Census . Thus missing two great opportunities to track her travels.
Getting to Montana from Nelson BC is a short but I suspect a difficult trip in 1910 or 1911. A look at a map shows Montana almost directly below BC.
So she likely met and married Charles H Johnston somewhere in Montana and had daughter Ruth.
The next siteing is the 1930 US Census found by Jackie placing the family in LA California.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XCV7-CJ6?lang=en
It would be nice to find the 1920 US Census for her and family to place their location.

In the 1930 census married couples are asked at what age were they first married, Charles says 28 and Jennie says 15. He was born in 1884 so this makes it 1912.
Jennie's info is a bit of a problem since her age in 1930 is given as 33 when it actually is 40, But if you take it at the word, that she is 33, then she was born in 1897 and if you add 15 to that date you have 1912. So this marriage may have been the first for each of them.
The date of passing of her husband that she wrote of was 19 Oct 1951. There is a man named George Warner who died on that date and is buried in California. FAG: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/8110387/george-elmer-warner
FAG identifies George Warner's wife as someone else, so this might be just a coincidence but it makes me think we might be getting her time line wrong--at least it should be looked at more closely.
What address did she live at that she asked her mail to be sent to?
Does she have any other known relatives who came to the U.S, you know, like uncles, aunts, cousins?

I would agree that Charles H Johnston is likely her first husband.
Your find of the George Warner might not be off the mark. There is a Myra Warner living in Long Beach, Los Angeles in the 1950 Census. Found in Ancestry but I can not find the record in Family Search. The Census identifies this person as a divorced male. Could be true as Myra could be a males name. but Google tells me that is rare.

First of all she lived at the same adress in 1951,when she reported her husband had passed at 19 of october 1951, as she lived and found dead by and signed as informant was Ruth Bicknell which was 11916 Wagner street ,Culver City,Los Angeles,California ,that was the adress to send letter to in 1951 and where she passed in 15 november 1958. She wrote in the letters or one of the other letters that her daughter Ruth was a nurse , she wrote the letter in perfect norwegian ,but when it come to the daughter she wrote the correct word for nurse /sykepleier She said we calls them nurse here in this country. I saw and added that Charles H Johnston from 1930 census and reacted same way that year for born for her was wrong. I susupect that the H stands for Harold or Harald , I asked my cousin about the man that Kristianna had married , and she has always tought he was another norwegian . But out of this it does not look like that at all . My cousin said dad always called her for aunt Janna and she sign the letter with that as well ,maybe why she has started to use Jennie in the public records. Janna was already familare with that name from home I guess. Around 1940 she has searched for social security number and letter of social program Correnspondence in California ,with Jennie Wilhelmina Johnston ,there in the right side it said her parents was Rasmus P Folin and Christine Jensen * Folin is a bit wrong nothing we are familiary to ,but Furulien was the name of where the house was build on , it said she is born on 7 of april 1890 and that she comes from Skibotn , Trom* shall be Troms,Norway . Thats it Thank You for all Your input , i put it all in at familysearch as I find it and think its correct.

Another tidbit from her death certificate is that she has lived 35 years in California and 35 years in Los Angeles county. So she came to LA in 1923.
Earl H Sander was the embalmer for her funeral service. Here he is in 1950 living with wife and son and his in-laws: "United States, Census, 1950", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6XGX-FLFW : Fri Oct 06 02:52:32 UTC 2023), Entry for Earl H Schell and Etta G Schell, 14 April 1950. |

His son was also named Jens to Jens Gerhard and letter was to Jens Gerhard son , so when she sign with aunt Janna is why she was aunt to Jens ´s son death add for Jens Gerhard mention no siblings at all,he had a couple of siblings still alive at that point. But good point with her death certificate says she lived in 35 years in Los Angeles . |
